Driving
Use GPS with caution. Many routes involve narrow, winding, roughly paved roads.
Recommended Route
Take I-77 North to I-81 North. From I-81 North, take Exit #150 B onto US 220 North.
US 220 becomes Douthat State Park Road, which you will follow until the dead end at Mountain Valley Road.
Turn left and continue until the dead end at Sam Snead Highway.
Turn left and continue to The Omni Homestead Resort.
Departing The Homestead
When departing The Homestead, turn right on Sam Snead Highway, then right on Mountain Valley Road. GPS will guide you safely from there.
Flying
For those who will fly, The Homestead is 73 miles from Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA).
Rental cars are available at ROA.
Transportation can be arranged by calling The Homestead’s Guest Experience Center at (540) 839-7760.
Fees apply and a two week advanced reservation is required.

The Inn at Gristmill Square
Located only five miles from The Homestead in the heart of picturesque Warm Springs, Virginia, The Inn at Gristmill Square is a boutique inn that offers an escape from the rush and noise of everyday life. The Inn at Gristmill Square looks like a small 19th century colonial village, with lovingly-restored historic buildings and an elegant restaurant and pub housed in a converted mill. This is the perfect place to sit on a porch on a lazy afternoon, soak in a natural spring, or climb a hill to watch the sun set.
